    Thanks for this.  Rob and I are still trying to work out
    whether it's exactly the right fix, but it does seem to
    address the problem.

    I had assumed that 2004/0406 change to acme/text.c was to turn off 2-3
    and 3-2 chords in tags (in older versions, 3-2 chord doesn't seem to
    work in tags).  But only now noticed patch/applied/acmechord/readme.
    I feel b1-b2-b3-b3 should leave the window dirty - as does the
    following: with "Paste" typed in the tag, selecting some text, b2 on
    Snarf and then b2 on Paste leaves the window dirty.
